Period 1 - Newton's Scooter Self Reflection and Commentary
Now that you have completed the project, what did you think of it? How did you think your project compared to others? What would you have changed about your project?
I thought that the project was really fun to do. I think my project was pretty good compared to the others because mine was entirely made of scrap materials. I would not change a lot about my project. The only thing that I would change would be the body that I used. I used a water bottle as the body of my vehicle. If I used a different body, my vehicle would have gone farther and faster.
I thought that this project was very fun. I liked that we got to design it the way we wanted to. I thought that my project was very good compared to other people. I think this because i didnt use wheels and mine was still able to cross the line unlike other people car's that had wheels. The only thing that I would change about my project would be the way i presented.
I liked this project. It was both fun and difficult to decide on a design for my car. I thought my project was good compared to others. I would have changed how I made my car. Next time I would make mine out of different materials
This project was probably the best one we did. If was challenging in some aspects but over fun. The one thing I would change is during my presentation, I would say everything I wrote and follow the rubric more next project. My car was pretty good but next I might try to build one without using the help of the kit. My track was key in my project and without that I don't think I would have done half as good.
I thought this project was fun and really easy. I think that my project compared to other projects was creative because I made mine out of cds. Two things I would of done to change my project would be to add another one or two rows of rubberbands soo that it was easier to launch my vehicle. Also, I would of decorated it more because I only had put colored paper on them.
i felt that the project was fun and that it put Kaitlyn and my skills to the test. I thought that our project compared well to others and I was confident that we had done the best job we can do. I would have change what we had wrote about the action and reaction force. When we made the poster we did not have a clear understanding of the action and reaction forces, but now I am confident in that matter.
I really liked this project because I enjoyed building the car and testing it out. This was my second favorite project we have completed; my first favorite was the boat project. I feel my project was very good compared to the other projects because, unlike some of the cars, mine looked like an actual car. Also, my car was very colorful and some cars lacked decoration. If I could go back and change my project I would have made my car fly or slide across the ground. I feel using wheels was not creative, even if the wheels were made out of creative materials. In conclusion, I really liked this project and I liked everyone else’s too!!!
I thought the project was fun to make, but harder to present. And thank god there wasnt a conclusion that we had to make, or else my grade would have been VERY bad. Well overall it was fun
i thought this project was a fun one because we got to build things. I think my project did really well against others because it stood out. This happened because of the launcher and the designs on the car. i would of changed my lancher by not putting the trigger on it.
I though the project was fun because we were allowed to use whatever materials we wanted to make the vehicle. I think my project was good compared to others but it wasn't the best. If i could change something about my project it would have to be my poster because i didn't explain everything correctly on it.
Overall, the Newton’s Scooters project was a success. It was fun to build the vehicle and to truly see how Newton’s Third Law of Motion works in a ‘real-life’ example. I think my project fared well compared to my other classmates, because my vehicle differed greatly. For example, the vehicle did not have wheels, nor rely on a rubber band, but used air and was ‘flying in the sky’. If anything, I would have thought more about how the action and reaction force affected the vehicle, and how the use of air had a greater effect on the vehicle. Yet, in the end, I am proud of my vehicle and what I was able to accomplish.
