I thought the lab in class was kinda fun. I learned the states of matter while doing this lab. The ice was the solid, the water was the liquid, and the boiling of the water was the gas.
i felkt that the lab was very cool and it actually felt like we were doing fun science also i learned that when some thin that is a soli gets hot it decomposes.
At first, the state of matter was ice. Once we turned on the heat plate, it quickly turned into liquid. The solid turned its state of matter to liquid because the motion of the molecules increased. Eventually steam started rising from the water and turned into gas. I learned that adding heat energy to an object changes its state of matter from a solid to a liguid to a gas.
I thought that this lab was really cool. I liked how we got to test the three states of matter and use hot plates and thermometers. I learned that due to an increase in temperature, a state of matter can change into another.
I thought the experiment was really cool. We got to see each step of how a solid mealted to a liquid, which then turned into a gas in about 21 minutes. I knew that a solid would mealt into a liquid, but I didn't expect a liquid to turn into a gas. I learned that the particles of a solid are touching, the particles of a liquid are close together, and the particles of a gas are far apart.
I found this lab an amazing demonstration of how matter changes with energy. Like what some other people say, it's a hands on activity, and a good lab for learning.
This expirement was fun. The matter started out as a solid (ice) but then began to melt once we turned the hot plate on. After a while, the solid turned to water, and then the water turned to gas. Water, solid, and gas are the three states of matter.
I thought the experiment was a lot of fun. It was very interesting to see the matter change state. I learned that when temperature increases, the particles move around more causing it to change state.
I think the lab very well demonstrates how matter changes states. I learned that changing the state of matter happens quite quickly. (wasn't referring to the time-lapse.)
I really enjoyed this activity. One thing I learned from this lab was it takes almost one hour for ice to change to water and then a liquid. I also learned it takes longer for water to change to water vapor, than for ice to change to water. Once again, it was a really cool lab!!!!!!
I thought this lab was fun! I enjoyed working with my lab group, however, it took forever to complete. I learned more about particles then I thought I would learn.
I liked the lab a lot. i do better when things like this are hands-on. also it explained how water reacts when put in a very hot area. it becomes a gas.
I liked the lab because it really helped explain Boyle's law. It was very cool and interesting. I learned that Boyle's law states that when pressure increases, volume decreases. And when pressure decreases, volume decreases.
I enjoyed doing this lab, because I thought it was interesting watching the ice turn into water, then into wator vapor. I learned that heat changes the objects state of matter.
Paulina A I liked this experiment a lot. I had fun and learned the states of matter. The solid was the ice,the liquid was the water, and the gas was the steam. I also liked this lab a lot because we got to see every step of it.
I thought this experiment was fun. We got to experiment the different states of matter. I learned that from just increasing heat, the state of matter can change from a solid, to a liquid, to a gas.
I liked the experment because it was fun to watch the ice melt and turn from a solid to aliquid to a gas. I also like seeing how high that the tepeture rised every minute. Overall, I tought that this lab was a lot of fun.
I thought it was interesting to watch the ice change into different states. I learned that the reason ice melts is because the added temperature causes the molecules to start moving more, until they loosen their bonds so much that the ice turns into water.
I liked the fast pace of this lab because of the time restraints. It was almost like a game in the beginning when we were trying to adjust the thermometer so we could read it before the minute passed. I also thought the time lapse of the experiment was pretty cool. That was probably where I learned the most because it really made it easy to see the process the water goes through as it changes states.
I liked the changes of state lab and thought it was pretty cool. It really demonstrated how matter, in this case water, can change its state. The lab helped me to understand the transformations of matter by seeing it change state hands-on. From this experiment, I learned that heat can change the alignment and movement of matter’s particles, thus allowing them to transform into a different state.
I found his lab to be very cool and fun. I like how we got to experience the three different states of matter, solid to liquid to gas! I also got to examine the different temperatures that the transformations happened
I thought this lab was cool how it changed states of matter as time went on. I learned from this lab how different the particles act in each state of matter.
I thought the experiment was really fun and interesting to watch as the different states of matter changed. I learned that the particles in a solid are close and organized together. While the particles in a liquid are not organized, but are closely together. And finally, the particles in a gas aren't organized and are spread apart.
I thought this lab was really fun and interesting. When my group heated the plate up the states of matter changed. This was really interesting and cool to see happening so quickly
I thought the lab was kind of fun at the beginning but it got boring at the end. The solid was the ice, the water was the liquid, and the gas was the steam
First off, the beaker contained ice, but then it changed the state of matter. Shortly after, it turned into a liquid, and later on a gas. I really liked this activity because we got to see the actual change and it was fun to work as a group. I learned that In just a short 22 minutes matter can change its state very easily.
Through this experiment I learned that a change in state of matter goes much more quickly than you would expect. I figured we would stare at the water for 30 for it to change to gas, but in reality this experiment was interesting and didn't take too long for the water to change to gas and such.
The experiment was interesting. From doing this experiment,I learned that the addition of heat energy changed the movement of the molecules during each state of matter. When it was a solid, they were closely packed together. Then, when it was a liquid, the molecules were father apart and finally, when it was a gas, the molecules had the greatest distance between them. This causes them to have the most energy out of those three states of matter.
This lab was very fun. I had a great time seeing science unfold right infront of our eyes! I learned the boiling point for water and what it looks like when it reaches it!
I liked the experiment and thought it was interesting. I knew that when ice is heated, it turns into a liguid, but I never knew that it will turn into a gas. Overall, I learned that gas molecules are spread out, and when the steam came out of the glass, that was when some of the molecules were escaping.
I liked this experiment, the only problem was how long it took. I learned that the particles in a solid are next to each other and very closely compacted and vibrate. The particles in a liquid are still touching but move faster then the solids particles and lastly, the gases particles are very far apart and move very fast.
I had of fun working on this lab. I found it funny that the ice became shushly water really fast then water until it became a gas. A it was cool getting to watch the temp. rise so fast in so little time
I enjoyed the lab a lot because you could see the changes in temperature and the state of matters that each substance changed into. In this lab I learned that when particles change from solid to liquid then to gas they are spreading farther away and creating more energy.
I thought the lab was interesting, considering we were watching ice melt. I'm just joking, though it was to see matter go from one state to the next it was pretty boring, especially when it was the same temperature for 5 minutes in the beginning and end. I learned that matter doesn't take a long time to change from one state to the next.
I think that the lab was a an effective way of demonstrating how temperature changes matter. I learned that as matter changes from one state to another, that the rate it changes in temperature decreases, because that energy is put into changing the state of matter.
I though that this experiment was very interesting to say the least. I though that the experiment definitely showed what was explained in class. During the experiment we definitely learned a lot about the different forms/states of matter such as how the water was the liquid, the ice was the solid, and lastly, the gas was what was boiling and causing all of the steam.
I think the lab was pretty cool because we got to watch how the three different states of matter and how they form. I learned that by just increasing the temperature a solid can turn into a liquid and a gas in a short amount of time.
The lab was fun and I liked seeing the changes of the states of matter. I learned thaat when temperature increase, it can make a state of matter change. For example ice melts to water.
I thought the experiment took a lot of time, but was also fun. The lab helped me learn the states of matter more quickly than I would have without the lab. I learned that the three states of matter were solid, liquid, and gas.
I thought this lab was fun. We got to see all the steps of it going from a solid to a liquid to a gas. I learned a lot about the particles in the states of matter.
I learned in this lab how temperature affects the state of matter. As it got hotter, the ice turned to a liquid, and a liquid to a gas. I liked the lab because it was very hands on.
I really liked this activity because we got to see all the states of matter in action.I learned what each state of matter looks like as the same substance. the ice is solid and the water is liquid and the steam is gas.

I thought that the lab was really cool. It was a very hands on experiment, and we could see all the changed happening. Something I learned from the activity was that the hotplate actually adds energy to the water.
This lab was really cool and fun! I liked it because we did it mostly by ourselves. It showed how the states of matter change. For example, the ice changed from a solid, to a liquid (water) and then to a gas. I like these kind of labs.
I enjoyed this lab because it was a great hands on way to learn about the states of matter. I learned that temperature greatly effects the states of matter
I really liked this experiment. All we had to do was add a little heat to change the state of matter from a solid (ice) to a liquid (water) and then to a gas (steam). I learned how quickly you can change the state of matter.
This lab was pretty fun. I liked how we got to watch the water go through all the stages. I learned that heat can make a substance go through all the stages
This lab was intresting because we were able to see the different states of matter change as the temperature of the hot plate increased. Even thoough I wasn't able to see the gas because class ended, it was still fun.
I liked this lab and thought it was entertaining. I learned all the changes in the state of matter while performing this lab. The solid was the ice and then it turned into a liquid(water) and then a gas(boiling water)
I liked this lab because it helped me understand everything a lot more. By watching this experiment i was able to see how the particles move in each stage.
