Period 1 - Comparing Brands Project - a self evaluation
Now that you have completed the project, how did you think you did? Were any of the classes results surprising to you? Will you change the way you shop based on your and your classmates results?
I think I did grat because my partner and I received a 100!!!!!! After listening to everyone's presentation, I learned that the most expensive product is not always the best. I believe that people, including myself, will change the brands they buy because we have realised that the best product may be the cheapest and some of us may be buying a really expensive brand that is not as good. This is what I learned during the Comparing Brands Project. Everyones projects were really great!!!!!!!!
I think that Genna and I did really well on this project. I think that we did well because we did not face a lot of problems in our experiments. Some of the class results were surprising to me. They were surprising to me because they got one time that was significantly less than what we had for the other three trials of time. Aside from that one measurement, our student trials were pretty accurate. Yes, I will change the way I shop based on mine and my classmates' results. I will change the way I shop because I now realize that the most expensive brand isn't always the best brand.
I think that Gianna and I did very well. Gianna and I worked well together and we did not have many errors during the experiment. Some of the classes’ results did surprise me. We tested the absorbency of different sponges. One of our student trials was very off from our results. Now I know that the most expensive brand isn’t always the best brand. Yes, I will change that way I shop based on the results because now I know which nail polish dries fastest and which plate is the strongest.
I believe that I did rather well on the project. We, my partner and I, were able to successfully complete our experiment, and were able to receive decent results for each brand of paper plate. For example, we were able to find out that “Chinet” (one brand of paper plate) was the most durable, and the generic store brand was the least durable. I was quite surprised by some of my other classmate’s results. For instance, I thought that the “name-brands” would be the better buys, but in some cases the generic brands were a consumer’s best bet. I may also change the way that I shop based on the results from our class. Nowadays, money needs to be stretched farther and consumers need to know which brand is the better buy. And now that some of the generic brands would be most recommended, maybe people would rethink which name they would reach for next time they take a trip to the grocery store.
Since I completed the project, I think that I did very well. But I do think that I could of done a little better. Some of the class results actually were surprising. I dont think that I will change the way I shop because almost all of the brands that were recommened I already use.
I think we did a good job. I wouldn't really change anything we did. The student trial was surprising though. The ShopRite brand was the worst when we did it and then when the student did it, it was the best. That brought that brand into second place. I wouldn't change the way I shop based on the results.
i thin k i did pretty good because my project i understood my project very well and knew exactly what to do. Some of the classes results were surprising that the cheaper one worked better and that the expensive brand worked the worst. i would change the way i shop based on mine and my classmates results because now i know what brands of an item to by over another brand of the same item
I think i did really good. i was suprised about how my rersults turned out beacause i would think that toilit tissue would be much weaker but some brands were stronger. i wouldnt really shop by the results of my class mates because when i shop i just get anything off the shelf that i feel is pretty good and buy it.
I did mostly good on this project except the conclusion part. Maybe because i did not explain what Mrs.Halkias gave us in our Rubric. But it was mostly good
I think I did well on this project because I recieved a good grade. I realized that my instructions to the procedure could have been more descriptive. My classmate trial was very close to mine which was a good sign that we did the experiment the same way
I think that I did good on my project just because i got a 100 on it. i had all my information and presented well. I also had all my trials done correctly.
I feel my parnter and I did great. It was so much eaiser having a partner because it felt like all of the weight of the project lifted off my shoulders. I also feel we did great with the presentation and setting up the time we would meet before and after school. We used our time wisely. Based on all of the results i relized as a consumer I must by for quality, not quantity.
I think we did well. If we were to do the project over, we would choose a new experiment because ours took too long to do. also it wasn't that fun and counting up to 250 pennies is boring.
I think I did a pretty good job but I could of approved a few things. Looking at my classmates results will also help me choose brands to buy later on in the years. For an exmample, I learned that the most expensive brand might not always be the best. This project was a lot of fun.
I think I did a good job on the project. The directions were very simple and easy and I'm sure I got accurate results because according to the peer's data table they got measurements close to mine.

This project was easy but i never understood why the class results were a lot higher than the results i got.
