Period 5 - Staying Afloat Reflection

This is usually one of the favorite projects of the year. So, what did you think about it? What did you like about this project? What didn't you like? Any suggestions as to how to make it better?

I liked this project. It was fun experimenting with different types of metals to make a floating boat. I also liked how we got to desgin our boat to make it look cool. I have no dislikes about this project. I would suggest that we use a little bit less spray paint next time. After spray painting our boat, it went up about 20grams, so we lost alot of points.

I really did like this project. It was pretty fun and I did it on my own, which made it even better. I liked how we were free to use our imagination to do this project. I didn't like the amount of time we had, I felt it should have been maybe two days long to build the boat!

When i was first assigned this project i was exited that i would have the chance to use different metal materials and make them float. I like that this project makes you think, you have to think about what the boat is going to be made out of, what is the design going to look like, and figuring out a way to make it hold 100 pennies.I did not dislike anything about this project and i hope that we get to do something like this in the future.

I liked this project because it was fun to try to build a boat. Though at times it was difficult to achieve our goal in the end our boat was able to hold 527 pennies! I think this was a really fun project and would be really fun to try to make a boat again. I don't have any more comments to make to improve the project over all it was very fun and interesting.

I really liked this project but I thought it was difficult to keep it under weight. I liked how we got to construct it however we wanted and that we got to have a partner to help us. You can make it better by maybe having a bigger weight limit and maybe making the boats bigger in general.

I actually enjoyed this project, which surprised me since I'm not good at constructing things at all. I liked how the boat could be how we wanted it to be, it just had to fit the dememsions. I didn't like that it had to be a certain mass. It was hard to get the boat 150g or lower. Suggestions...none really. A fun project.

i think that this project was very fun. I thought so as you could experiment and that was the fun part, trying new ideas. I liked how we had certain restriction which made it more challenging and more interesting. I dislike the wieght limit, as i believe you should be able to contruct your boat with more flexibility. You could improve this project by
making the wieght limit hogher so students can build a better boat, but then increase the amount of pennies it has to hold.

This project was really fun and I liked it. I liked that we got to build the boat ourselfs however we wanted to. I also liked how we got a lot of time in school. I didn't like counting the amount of pennies my boat could hold. To make it better you could do whos boat holds the most weights instead of individual pennies.

i liked this project a lot it was really fun. i thought it was fun to see how many pennies we can hope in our boats. i also liked how we got to make our boat however we wanted to and design it however we wanted to. I felt like u should raise the weight of the boats. but overall i really liked the project.

I really liked this project a lot, my brother told me about it last year and me and him really liked it. I liked the fact that you were allowed to work on your own time, could sit near people that you wanted to sit if you weren't partners with anyone, and that you could drink the soda that you bought. I didn't like that we could only use metal, but it was still really fun with the different sized soda cans. I would probably allow one thing that is not metal because if you were to use plastic then there would be such a hazard of sharp edges.

I liked this project because it was a lot of fun. The only dislike I had was that I did not have enough time to work on the presentation part.

I liked this project because it was flexible and allowed for creativity. I think that the best part of it was being able to create any kind of boat with any kind of design. I think that a way to make this project better is by introducing past boat designs and models that worked.

I really liked this project. I liked making the boat with my partner, and I also liked the fact that she let me paint the designs onto the boat. What didn't I like about the project, I didn't dislike anything about it. No I do not have any suggestions as to how to make it better.

I really loved this project. I thought the best part of the project was that we got to make our own boats. I didn't have any dislikes. I will next time add two more soda cans for more bouyancy.

I really liked this project!! This project was really fun experimenting with different materials and we could do what we want as long as we keep it under the measurements and mass requirments!! Dislike NOTHING at all!!
