Period 7 - Staying Afloat Reflection

This is usually one of the favorite projects of the year. So, what did you think about it? What did you like about this project? What didn't you like? Any suggestions as to how to make it better?

I thought this project was really fun. I liked how we did the whole project in class because my partner and I got a lot of work done and did not need to finish the project at home. My favorite part of the project was making the boat because we got to be as creative as we wanted and got to decorate the boat. I did not like how we had a limit of 150 grams because we could not add everything we wanted or what we thought of. Overall, the project was really fun and I enjoyed it a lot!

I really liked the staying afloat project. I think it was really hands-on and really got everyone thinking. I liked that we only had a limited amount of materials to use for the project. There was nothing that I did not like. I think that maybe to improve the project the students would have there boat hold at least 200 pennies so they could get more creative with there boats.

I liked the fact that we did it in class. We could use the teachers help and have extra materials from others if needed. I didn't like the fact that we had to use metal. It seemed very difficult to come up with ONLY metal for support, and nothing else. I would change the fact of how long we had. It seemed to quick

I thought this project was fun and easy. I liked how my boat turned out. I also liked the results of it and how much pennies it could hold. There really wasnt anything i disliked of this prohect. I could have changed it up and put more thought into it to make it better. Besides that i really enjoyed this project.

I really loved this project! What I liked about this project was we really were able to get creative and have fun, especially building the boat. What I didn't like about this project was that we had a max weight, because if we didn't have a max weight, we might have had an entirely different boat that could hold much more pennies. My suggestions to make the project better would be increasing the max weight, so that students can create bigger and better boats.

I thought this project was really interesting and helpful when seeing the metal materials that I and others used to make their boats float. This incresead my understanding about in general what materials (cans, pie cans, etc.) will stay afloat better. I also liked how we got to experiment the strength of our boats based on how we built them with the wieght of 100 pennies held by the boats.

The project was really fun! I liked that there was class time to do this project and that we didn't have to do it at home. I didn't like that we only had a limited amount of materials to use. If we had more variety, we could've done a bunch of different things. It would've been more creative and they wouldn't all look similar. All of the boats had soda cans!

This project was one of the best projects i've ever done. It made you have to tkae an idea and create it in real life. Having the limit on the mass and other limits made the student think about every detail. You also had to take off everything but the basics. Although it was annoying it really made the project challenging. I was extremely happy with my project at the end and would do it all over again. Overall this project was very useful in learning and creativity!

I liked the staying afloat project because it was interesting to see what ideas people would have in order to make their boat float while holding 100 pennies. The only thing I did not like about the project was that there was a weight limit. The weight limit made me have to change some of the design and decorations I chose. For instants I had to take off some foam and tape to make sure it was 150 grams or less. To make this project better I wouldnt change anything. I woulnt add or change anything because even though I did not like that there was a weight limit I think it was good. The food thing about the weight limit was that it made you make sure your boat could float. It made you think.

This was a very good project. I like the project because me and justin made a sick boat and it can hold 761 pennies in are boat. I did not like the paint job on the boat. I think we should have got a bigger baking tin.

I thought this project was really fun.I liked that we had to make it and see how many pennies it would hold. There was nothing I didn't like about this project.I think next time it should be 150 pennies because 100 was to easy.
